Summer trend

Shelton, WA. Who knew? Another place that is amazing during the summer for the following reasons: the hosts, the water, crab, and red wine. Oh, and Revenge of the Nerds.

On the river

Camping four days at a concert with the best of friends? Nothing better.

Couer d'Alene

More from the lake in August.

Couer d'Alene is one of the best summer spots for the following reasons: the hosts & crew, the water, Derailers, Powder Horn Bay burgers. And this year, synchronized diving.

Zion National Park

The pictures don't do it justice. The Park was beautiful, completely amazing geological features. I did not capture the depth of these canyons and rock formations. My little camera was no match for Zion.

Puget Sound

A few more from July 4th on the Puget Sound.

No boom boom? What?

Luckily, Jennie is such a rebel.

This deer was just cruising the beach, totally uninterested in us taking pictures from a few feet away.

Digging for geoducks

Geoducks (pronounced gooey-ducks) are just about the most ridiculous creatures I've ever seen. I was lucky enough to spend a cloudy day in beautiful Puget Sound digging them up with the Leander's and their friends.

You have to get the barrel in the sand, and then start digging...

That's what they look like! He held on for about 1.3 seconds.

This is how you spot them...their necks sticking out in the sand.
